Why is it important for influencers to build an email list?
Having an email list is an easy way to cut through social media because it can directly link you to your audience. Social media is a trend and eventually, people will move on, but emails are heavenly relied on by people and businesses. Social media accounts are vulnerable to hacking while email accounts are rarely hacked.
How do you grow your email list and where do you start?
A lot of bloggers worry about their email list being too short which shouldn’t be the center of attention. As long as the open rate and conversion rate on your email list is gaining results then the length of the email list shouldn’t matter. You don’t want an email list that consists of people that are not engaging with your emails.
Eventually, you’re going to start paying for the audience you want on your email list so if you’re going to pay make sure the audience you’re paying for is the people engaging with your emails. The people who sign up for your email subscription are usually action takers who are interested in your product. Limit your ads on your email or blog because it will lower your sign-up rate due to too many distractions
What’s your take on what to send subscribers?
It all depends on how you want to make your profit for example, you would send a blog post to get people on the sight to get the ad views. Make your email interactive and drive your audience to the best product that you have to offer.
Email is a great way to generate traffic to your website, but it can also make you money. Can you tell us more about that?
Creating freebies are a great way to generate traffic and income for your site. Create a freebie that makes sense it has to be something that your audience can understand. The freebie has to be a small part of what of the overall product that you’re trying to sell.
When sending an email make sure you provide a reason to share your product or site and use the freebie to establish yourself as an expert. In your email, be sure to include a disclosure about your affiliate deal if you have one. Be sure to state that you may receive a commission from the affiliate link in the email.
