Episode 073: Our Experience at the IFBC Conference
Small Intimate Conference
The International Food Blogger Conference was small and intimate, almost like a retreat. We were able to get to know the speakers, attendees, and the city more. The conference was held in El Paso, Texas and we were able to explore the city since it was not oversaturated with events. This gave us the ability to create experiences with smaller groups and support local restaurants at the same time.
Ability to Network
Since it was a small conference, we were able to meet everyone and get to know them. We were able to network and add more guests to our upcoming podcast episodes. We also shared advice and strategies to help one another in our businesses. If you are a novel blogger, smaller conferences can help you get comfortable in the industry.
New Learning Opportunities
Throughout the conference, we had so many learning opportunities. There were great sessions on TikTok and monetization strategies. In addition, certain sponsors had a lot of time allotted to talk about their products, so they were able to talk in depth about them so we could see how it could benefit us. It also helped with public speaking because we were assigned presentation exercises. The International Food Blogger Conference gave us new insights through the presentations and one another.
