What are Airtable automations?

An automation is essentially an “if this, then that.” If a trigger occurs, then an action will happen under that certain condition. You can also add other features to create even more custom automations. Airtable’s automations are free to all users but are limited to number of automations and runs possible. If you try it out and like it, you can upgrade your plan. To create these automations, create a worksheet to write down the steps to add, and think of the triggers and actions necessary. In addition, Airtable automations can integrate with most popular platforms, such as Dropbox and YouTube.

How You Can Use Airtable Automations

Airtable automations are best for tasks that you repeatedly do. Take a look at your to-do list and see what tasks you can automate, such as running payroll. You can also use automations to help your team work cohesively. You can use the automations to send email notifications when one task is done to the next person in the process, such as moving from writing to graphics. Moreover, you can send data from the platform to Airtable and vice versa. For example, you can set automations every time you add a new line on Google Sheets to carry over to Airtable.
